Help Feed New Mexico
SHARE New Mexico is a non-profit food buying program that helps you save 50% on your grocery bill. It is a purchase with a purpose! SHARE is run almost entirely by volunteers and there is a Host Site close to where you live. Host Sites are churches or organizations that provide a facility and volunteers to help achieve SHARE's goal of reaching our community, with good quality food at an affordable price. There is no income qualification to participate in SHARE. IF YOU EAT, YOU QUALIFY! For more information call 505-514-6225

Be Water Savvy!
We, like you, treasure this beautiful state, but we know that we could all treat her just a little bit better. Here are a few important ways we can improve the Land of Enchantment!
Turn off the faucet while shaving or brushing your teeth. An open faucet lets about five gallons of water flow every two minutes.
Take your own bags when you go shopping. If every American refused to use plastic bags, we'd save 12,000,000 barrels of oil each year.
Buy a low-flow showerhead. By replacing standard 4.5-gallon-per-minute showerheads with 2.5-gallon-per-minute heads, which cost less than $5 each, a family of four can save approximately 20,000 gallons of water per year
Reusing items by repairing them, donating them to charity and community groups, or selling them reduces waste. Use a product more than once, either for the same purpose or for a different purpose.
Take a coffee mug to work rather than using styrofoam cups. Each year Americans throw away 25,000,000,000 Styrofoam cups. 500 years from now, the foam coffee cup you used this morning will be sitting in a landfill.
